Welcome Back Email Blast from CASC - January 8, 2018
Posted on 01/09/2018

A snowy welcome back - we hope that everyone had a warm and restful break and are ready for a terrific 2018!

CASC has some exciting events planned for this winter season! The CASC team looks forward to seeing some new faces out at our upcoming CASC meeting on Tuesday, January 16 at 7:00pm in the Staff Room.  Babysitting is provided and the agenda kicks off with an Open Forum for anyone who has questions they wish to raise.

A few items for your immediate attention:

Online Hot Lunch orders are up and running.

If you have not made your order yet for Term 2, the first few days of Hot Lunches may not be available to you.  This gives the suppliers a few days to prepare.  Blocked off menus show as red on the order calendar.   Please be aware of when your order begins and inform your child.

Also, if your child does not receive a lunch he/she is expecting, please ask them to ask a teacher to check the report.  We often have extra meals....just in case.

Follow this link to place your order.

Orders for this fundraiser will be placed every month.  The next ordering deadline is Thursday, January 18, orders can be placed at

Snowhawks Ski and Snowboard Program

Winter is upon us! This year, Snowhawks Ski and Snowboard School is offering Churchill Alternative students in grades 4 to 6 a four-day, after-school ski and snowboard program. The first outing is Thursday, February 8, 2018, and the program then continues Feb 15, Feb 22 & Mar 1. Two trips each to Vorlage and Mt Cascades will provide plenty of variety. Participants are welcome to register for lift tickets and motor coach travel only, or may add on lessons and/or equipment rental as desired. Coaches will leave the school at dismissal, and return to school at

9:00 PM. Deadline for registration is January 22, although space may fill before the deadline. Info-sheets are being handed out to students in the classrooms, and a PDF version is attached. Registration is now open online at registration.snowhawks.com. For answers to any questions about the program, please contact Snowhawks directly at Ottawa@Snowhawks.com, or 613-730-0701.
